Polyporus in powder/biomass form is produced by grinding dried fungal sclerotia into a very fine powder using a special shell-breaking method that disrupts the chitinous cell wall and releases bioactive substances. Compared to an extract, this form has a milder effect.

Polyporus (Polyporus umbellatus) contains many bioactive components such as vitamins and minerals, polysaccharides - beta-glucans, ergosterols - polyporusterones A-G, ergostenones, steroids, anthraquinones, nucleosides, D-mannitol.

It is a relatively rare fungus belonging to the family Chorosidae, which is considered vulnerable in our country (endangered according to the IUCN Red List). Polyporus occurs on tree roots and stumps, from which it absorbs nutrients.

From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, the main effect of polyporus is that it removes Shi (dampness) from the body, which tends to accumulate in various parts of the body, usually around the ankles. But also in the fingers of the upper limbs or in the face. Like other vital mushrooms, Polyporus can support Wei Qi (defensive Qi).

Our Polyporus is harvested under optimal natural conditions in northeast China, without the use of pesticides or other harmful substances.

Dosage

• 1-3 g daily with at least half an hour between meals.
• Mix in approx. 1 dcl of boiling water and drink (1 level teaspoon = 2 g powder).
• We recommend taking it 5 days a week and skipping 2 days.
• Take on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal) with water or weak green tea. For children, the dosage is reduced proportionally to age.

Method of use 

When taking vital mushrooms, it is recommended to increase vitamin C intake, which enhances the absorption of active substances. For example, in the form of Brazilian cherry acerola extract.
