Polyporus, or umbrella polypore, is a relatively unknown edible mushroom, which has been highly valued in Asia for a long time because it contains very effective vital substances. Analyses have shown that polyporus owes its beneficial effects primarily to polyporusterones A and B. It also contains significant amounts of calcium, potassium, iron, but very little sodium. About Polyporus

Polyporus (umbrella polypore, Grifola umbellata, Polyporus umbellatus) is a relatively rare mushroom belonging to the family Polyporaceae, and is considered vulnerable in our country (conservation status according to the IUCN Red List). Polyporus can be found at the roots of trees and stumps, from which it draws nutrients. The fruiting bodies of Polyporus are up to 40 cm wide, formed by repeatedly branching scaly caps.

In addition to being a delicious edible mushroom also suitable for pickling, Polyporus has also been part of traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years. In "Western countries", Polyporus was first described in 1801 by Christian H. Persoon. Polyporus contains many very effective ingredients, such as vitamins and minerals, polysaccharides - beta-glucans, ergosterols - polyporusterones A-E, ergostenones, steroids, anthraquinones, nucleosides, D-mannitol.

According to traditional Chinese medicine, Polyporus removes pathological water from the body.

Dosage:

• 1 - 3 g daily at least half an hour before or after a meal, mix in approx. 1 dcl of water and drink (1 level teaspoon = 2 g of powder)
• we recommend taking it 5 days a week and skipping 2 days
• take on an empty stomach (at least 30 minutes before a meal or 60 minutes after a meal)
• when taking vital mushrooms, we recommend increasing your intake of vitamin C, which increases the absorption of active substances. For example, in the form of Acerola Brazilian cherry extract.
