Offtusin - 60 tablets

Anti-infective action, relief for irritating coughs and colds, immune support and body regeneration

Offtusin is a preparation containing concentrated extract of purple coneflower, black elderberry, geranium root, common ivy and Icelandic lichen (a total of 128 mg / 1 tablet). It has antibacterial, antiviral, and immunostimulating effects. It increases resistance to infections. It helps with irritating coughs, bronchitis, and inflammation of the nasopharyngeal mucosa, and accelerates the regeneration process.

Offtusin is primarily intended as an aid in conditions accompanied by coughing. A cough itself is not a disease, but rather a health symptom, or a sign, indicating that something is wrong in our body, specifically in the respiratory tract. There can be many causes. From irritation, most often caused by smoke, strong odors or fumes, to allergies to pollen, animal products and dust, to psychological causes usually stemming from nervousness or stress. However, in the vast majority of cases, the origin of the cough is infectious, either viral or bacterial.

Types of cough

Individual types of infectious cough are classified according to their developmental stage. A dry cough usually appears earlier in the illness. It is an irritating, unproductive manifestation, meaning a cough without expectoration of phlegm. It is most often caused by inflammation of the upper respiratory tract and adjacent lymph nodes, or it is a reaction to the surrounding environment, most often cold. It can be the first warning of an impending illness, such as a cold, sore throat, flu, viral infection, sinusitis, or inflammation of the nasopharynx and larynx. A wet cough means that an infection is currently ongoing in the body, and the body is trying to get rid of accumulated phlegm in the lungs. It is important that it is "coughed up" in a timely and, if possible, complete manner, because otherwise it can be a cyclical source of infection. The illness is prolonged, and deterioration can also occur, leading to serious illnesses such as pneumonia.

In most cases, a cough is a warning sign that is more alarming in nature with a troublesome course. However, at-risk groups, which include young children, seniors, and specifically weakened individuals (heart and lung insufficiency), should be cautious. In some cases, coughing can excessively strain or directly damage the body.

ENERGY ACTION OF OFFTUSIN ACCORDING TO TCM PRINCIPLES (Traditional Chinese Medicine)

Offtusin primarily affects the energy pathways of the lungs, stomach, liver, and spleen.

Offtusin Ingredients

Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea): boosts immunity by activating macrophages, which are capable of engulfing infection agents directly in the body, and by promoting interferon production, a substance that, among other things, prevents virus multiplication in cells.

Black elderberry (Sambucus nigra): widely used in herbal medicine and pharmacy. According to superstition, it is "a cure for nine diseases and a magical herb." The entire plant contains phytoncides, which effectively fight bacteria. It has anti-inflammatory, diuretic, and diaphoretic effects.

Icelandic moss (Cetraria islandica): this lichen has appeared in many European pharmacopoeias since the 17th century. It contains mucilaginous substances with strong antibiotic effects, helping with inflammatory diseases. It is particularly important in the treatment and relief of coughs, colds, respiratory tract inflammation, asthma, and tuberculosis.

African geranium (Pelargonium sidoides): originates from Southern Africa, where it has always been used in traditional medicine, especially for lung diseases. Modern studies have confirmed its antibacterial and immunostimulating effects. Western medicine currently uses it for the treatment of colds and coughs.

Common ivy (Hedera helix): its most pronounced effect is to aid expectoration. It is used for chronic catarrh, asthma, colds, and conditions where the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract are inflamed.
