Lion's Mane
HERICIUM
50 ml = 1100 drops
Hericium acts on all organ systems, strengthens the stomach, aids digestion, and enhances brain activity.
Hericium got its Czech and English name from the shape of its fruiting body. It resembles a sea coral or a lion's mane. The fruiting bodies are about 7-15 cm, but can be much larger, up to 40 cm. The fruiting bodies are mound-shaped and "frayed" on the underside with overhangs similar to spines. Hericium grows on the trunks of injured deciduous trees and on stumps, mainly in areas of the Northern Hemisphere. Thus, it can be found in Europe, Asia, and North America.
Hericium is an edible and very tasty mushroom. It holds a significant place in the gastronomy of Asian nations. However, it is not merely a food but primarily a medicinal plant, mainly utilized in traditional Asian medicine, including Chinese medicine. North American Indians also knew of it; there is evidence that they always carried it in powder form and used its medicinal properties for treating open wounds, especially for disinfection and to stop bleeding. The "scientific" documentation of the mushroom only occurred in the 18th century. Two mycologists were responsible for this: the Frenchman J.B.F. Bulliard, who named it Hydnum erinaceus, and Hericium received its current name from Ch. H. Persoon in 1797.
Knowledge about the medicinal effects of the mushroom quickly spread, and therefore, the mushroom began to be scientifically studied. There are many studies and experiments confirming the effectiveness of Hericium. This also led to an increase in demand, and thus, it began to be commercially cultivated.
The basis of YaoMedica alcoholic tinctures are Chinese herbs and mushrooms. To achieve maximum effectiveness, we use only the highest quality raw materials. The herbs and mushrooms are first ground into a very fine powder using a special machine, and then macerated in 50% alcohol for up to one month. The macerate is dynamized daily, and the finished tinctures are not diluted in any way. This is very important.
The mechanism of active substance release during maceration in 50% alcohol is much more intensive compared to herbal decoctions or hot water extracts. When using tinctures, active substances are released already in the oral cavity, which contributes to higher effectiveness.
The individual formulations of YaoMedica tinctures are based on the experience and proven methods of traditional Chinese medicine, which has existed for more than 4,000 years. Its view of man is holistic. It regards the body as a whole and at the same time understands it as part of the surrounding environment. Balance and harmony are the way to deal with many difficulties brought about by the modern lifestyle. And not only on the level of the physical body, but also on the psychological level.
