MycoMedica Reishi 90 vegetable capsules
Immune system and circulatory system support, and cholesterol reduction
Reishi can activate the body's immune responses and contributes to maintaining healthy circulatory system function. It also helps naturally lower cholesterol. Reishi contains many bioactive substances that make it truly unique. In addition to vitamins and minerals, Reishi also contains a large number of polysaccharides beta-glucans, ganoderans, as well as steroids, cyclic lactone esters, triterpenes, including ganoderic acid or lanostanes, and others. For our production, we use fruiting bodies aged 6-9 months. At this age, the concentration of active substances is highest. In older mushrooms, the concentration of active substances gradually decreases, and the effect is not as effective.
Reishi (ganoderma or glossy ganoderma) is one of the most commonly used medicinal mushrooms. In traditional Chinese medicine, it has been used for millennia for its vitalizing effects. Choose the ideal ratio of polysaccharides, triterpenes, and other bioactive substances for the best results. In Chinese medicine, Reishi is used to support vitality and defenses. It has significant adaptogenic effects. Compared to Reishi with 50% polysaccharides, 30% Reishi is more suitable for chronic and serious conditions.
Reishi (glossy ganoderma, Ganoderma lucidum) belongs to the polypore wood-destroying fungi. It can be found on the trunks of mostly dead trees or stumps. Its fruiting bodies are semicircular and usually 6−12 cm in diameter, and are distinctive for their shiny, lacquered layer, from which its name is derived.
Reishi (Ganoderma) is native to Asia, where it is also called "the divine mushroom of immortality". It has been an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine for over 4000 years. Reishi (Ganoderma) is also mentioned in the foundational work of Chinese medicine, the Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon. At that time, it was so rare that it was reserved only for the emperor and his family. And it was not only used in Chinese medicine but also as a powerful talisman for good luck and protection against evil. Monks in Taoist monasteries used Reishi (Ganoderma) before meditations, for its ability to calm the Shen spirit. Due to its ability to regenerate and activate body functions, it is used by Russian cosmonauts and Sherpas at high altitudes in the Himalayas.
